Manager of Food Service Operations needed for Houston ISD (Houston, TX)

As the Manager of Food Service operations, you would be responsible for managing and overseeing food production staff and activities at multiple sites.

 

The right candidate should have:

  1. 5+ years of related experience including personnel management
  2. Ability to maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations in accordance with the National School Lunch Program and other Child Nutrition programs.
  3. Responsible for the financial health and success of assigned schools including developing, managing, and updating the budget, including compliance, meal participation, cents per meal, and labor goals
  4. Ability to comply with all pertinent federal, state, and local regulations for areas, including National School Lunch Program, National School Breakfast Program, After School Care Program, Summer Food Service Program, Child & Adult Care Feeding Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, HACCP Policy, and local health codes.
  5. Ability to collaborate with school administration to strategically market and implement new child nutrition programs and products.

 Education and Certifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as determined by HR
  2. ServSafe Certification
  3. City of Houston Food Handler Certification preferred
  4. Ability to drive a vehicle and inspect facilities as needed (Hold valid DL and Insurance)
